The Part one module: aims to test you driving knowledge at a much higher level than what a learner is expected to know.
The part one consists of theory test and Hazard perception test.
The theory consists of 100 multiple choice questions and is split into 4 categories. And the hazard perception test has 14 clips.
To pass the theory you must score a minimum of 80% in each of the 4 categories, and an overall score of 85%.
The hazard perception test has 14 video clips. Each clip shows a developing hazard, In order to achieve a good score, you must respond to the developing hazards quickly.
13 of the clips have one developing hazard, and one clip has two which is worth double the points.
The maximum score for spotting a developing hazard is 5 points and there is a maximum of 75 points achievable. You must score a minimum of 57 to pass the Hazard perception test.
