But they will also help their learners understand how the driving test works.

Driving instructors can also simulate a driving test by giving you MOCK tests periodically on your driving lessons.
In short they will do everything possible to give you a real experience of taking the driving test.
On average more than 1,100 driving tests get cancelled every month because people:
- Forget to take the correct documents – show your driving instructor your documentation before you leave your house. You will be surprised how many people forget to bring their correct documentation to the test center with them.
- Arrive to test on the wrong date – Some people don’t read their appointment. or they don’t check the date with their driving instructor.
- Arrive late for their driving test – If you arrive late, the driving examiner might not have enough time to take you for the test and get back in time for the next driving test candidate.

Copy your instructor into the DVSA test confirmation email you receive.
Check the instructor has booked your test booked for the correct day/time and driving test center.
Make sure you and your instructor know where your pick up address will be from.
